Introduction
At The Lake, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests. This statement outlines the accessibility of our facilities and highlights areas where assistance may be required due to the natural characteristics of the site.
Arrival & Parking
We provide wheelchair-accessible parking for up to 5 vehicles, located adjacent to The Lake reception. The parking surface consists of a concrete pad and level artificial grass, providing a stable and even route toward the reception area.
Entrance & Reception
The main reception has steps; however, a portable ramp is available upon request. Our staff are always on hand and happy to assist with access and the check-in process.
Accessible Facilities
We have a wheelchair-accessible toilet and changing room available on site. Assistance dogs are welcome.
Due to the nature of the site as a quarry, access to the lake can be challenging. When water levels are low, the lake surface may be up to 5 metres below ground level. Standard access is via stairs or a ladder. An alternative access ramp is available on the opposite side of The Lake, and trained staff are available to assist guests in accessing the water safely.
Emergency Procedures
Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) can be arranged in advance. Please contact us prior to your visit so we can ensure appropriate support is in place.
