Join our “Bring Your Own Board” sessions and enjoy 1.5 hours of paddling at The Lake for just £7.50. Explore the water at your own pace and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

  • Buoyancy aid rental: £5.00 (if needed)

This session is suitable for ages 10 and up.

Event Details

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Cost: £7.50
  • Equipment: Customers must bring their own paddleboard.
  • Buoyancy Aid Rental: Available for £5.00 (optional).
  • Age Restrictions: Suitable for ages 10 and up.
  • Supervision: Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating parent or legal guardian.
  • Safety Equipment:
    • Buoyancy aids must be correctly fitted and worn at all times while paddleboarding.
    • Inflating (manual or automatic) lifejackets are not permitted for use while paddleboarding.
    • An ankle or waist-mounted leash must be correctly fitted and worn at all times while paddleboarding.
  • Distance from Shore: Paddleboarders must maintain a minimum distance of 3 meters from the water's edge.
  • Equipment Standards: All paddleboards and buoyancy aids must conform to British standards. South West Maritime Academy staff reserve the right to refuse the use of any equipment deemed unsafe.

Directions: Exit M5 at Junction 14 and head south-east on B4509 towards Wickwar. After approximately two miles at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto B4058 towards Cromhall. In 3/4 mile Cromhall Quarry will be on your right - note signs for South West Maritime Academy. Follow the road through the site and down into the quarry. Parking for The Lake is in front of the marquee.
