The Lake, managed by the South West Maritime Academy at Cromhall Quarry is an exceptional dive site catering to all levels, from novice divers to seasoned professionals.

Dive Sessions: £16.00 – Sessions take place on Saturdays and Sundays. Arrive 08:30, off-site by 16:30.

Bookings: Dive sessions are limited to just 75 divers.

Diving is only permitted for individuals aged 10 years and older.

The Lake, managed by the South West Maritime Academy at Cromhall Quarry is an exceptional dive site catering to all levels, from novice divers to seasoned professionals.

Event Details

  • Certified Divers Only: Diving is restricted to individuals with appropriate training and qualifications. Divers must adhere to the standards of their certification or be under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor. All diving activities must comply with the Diving at Work Regulations 1997, where applicable.
  • Maintain a Safe Distance: For your safety and the preservation of the quarry environment, maintain a minimum distance of 3 meters from the cliff face, both above and below the waterline. Do not dislodge rocks from the quarry face.
  • No Solo Diving: Solo diving is strictly prohibited. Divers must be accompanied by a buddy at all times.

Directions: Exit M5 at Junction 14 and head south-east on B4509 towards Wickwar. After approximately two miles at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto B4058 towards Cromhall. In 3/4 mile Cromhall Quarry will be on your right - note signs for South West Maritime Academy. Follow the road through the site and down into the quarry. Divers will need to check-in at the shop near to the marquee and food truck before continuing around to the opposite side of The Lake to prepare for their session.
